Artist's Statement

Picture

I always have had a deep connection to nature, even as a small child.  When I discovered there was a way to combine my love for nature and art I began to study Botanical Illustration.

Each natural element, no matter how small, contains a wealth of beauty that is waiting to be revealed to the beholder.  It is through careful observational studies and artistic interpretation that I hope to depict the exquisiteness of each natural object at hand.

As a botanical artist, I strive to capture nature’s beautiful complexities with sensitivity and definition.

I enjoy working in graphite, colored pencil, pen & ink, and watercolor.
